Let our eyes be opened to the Light of the World, Jesus Our Saviour. May we yearn to turn always to the Light of Truth and Mercy.

Reflect: Born blind this man perseveres in his request to be healed by Jesus. He is rewarded by being anointed by Jesus, not with oil, but by a paste of earth and spittle. When he washes it clean, he finds that he can now see, his life lit up with hope. He can bear witness to Jesus’ gift of eternal life. How would we react if Jesus had opened our eyes as He did for this unnamed man? __________________________________________________________________________________

MAKE YOUR LENT HOLY THIS YEAR
Stations of the Cross continue at 7:00pm this Friday evening, indeed on all Friday evenings during Lent. Please consider coming to join with other parishioners to reflect on Our Saviour’s passion. See the poster on main noticeboard in the porch. Volunteers are sought for the remaining slot(s).
Monday is the Solemnity of St Joseph, and Saturday the Solemnity of the Annunciation of Our Lord to the Blessed Virgin by the Archangel Gabriel.

PARISH JUSTICE & PEACE LENTEN CAMPAIGN The appeal attempts to cover three out of many crises competing for our attention. In partnership with the DEC (Disasters Emergency Committee) we have a split donation box at the back of the church. We thank you for your donations. Please help the chart markers rise further. Afghanistan with 5.9 million suffering from famine. Ukraine Humanitarian Appeal with millions suffering lack of fuel, heat, shelter due to the war deliberately damaging civilian infrastructure. The Pakistan Floods Appeal effects 33 million people, their house and crops Prayer and our donations can do their bit to help.

All welcome to the Sunday Café after Mass. Donations. £1.00 for an adult, and 50p for a child enable support to charities.

RELICS OF PADRE PIO IN SCOTLAND MASS
Fr Bryan Shortall OFM (Cap) will visit the archdiocese this week. He is the main celebrant of mass at The Immaculate Conception, 2049 Maryhill Road, G20 0AA, at 7:00 pm on Tuesday 21st March 2023. Individual blessings will be given using the first-class relics of Padre Pio, including blood-stained gloves and bandage. Padre Pio shop and Tea in the hall afterwards.
