Congratulations to one of our young parishioners – Ryan O’Keife who walked for one mile every day during the month of August 2025. Ryan raised enough money for two defibrillators which are now in place in Barlanark. One at the Calvay Co-operative and the other at Gardeen Co-operative. Well done Ryan

Centenary Mass in Honour of Venerable Matt Talbot: You are warmly invited to join us for a special Mass to celebrate the life and legacy of Venerable Matt Talbot, a man of faith, prayer, and hope. Saturday, 25th October 2025 at 1:00pm in St Andrew’s Cathedral, 196 Clyde St, Glasgow G1 4JY. Celebrant: Archbishop William Nolan. This celebration also gives thanks for the work of the Talbot Association, which since 1970 has faithfully served the homeless and vulnerable in Glasgow. Together we honour Matt Talbot’s witness, pray for those struggling with addiction, and recognise the ongoing mission of compassion and service inspired by his example.

National Day of Solidarity to End Immigration Detention – Glasgow Solidarity Event: Saturday 18th October | 2:00–3:30pm, Refuweegee Office, 24 George Square, Glasgow, G2 1EG. Join Justice & Peace Scotland, Scottish Detainee Visitors, and Glasgow Solidarity Stall for a community event marking the National Day of Solidarity to End Immigration Detention. There will be short talks from each organisation, including speakers with lived experience of detention, and opportunities to learn how to get more involved in challenging this undignified and inhumane system. We must come together to stop detention expansion, end immigration detention and build an alternative world of care and safety. We’ll be writing messages of solidarity to people in detention and prepare letters to MPs calling for change. Snacks and drinks will be provided.
