TODAY SUNDAY 7th DECEMBER IS THE SECOND SUNDAY OF ADVENT. Today we will light the Second Advent purple candle, which re Peace the third is Joy and the fourth is Love.
IT’S CHRISTMAS – TIME AGAIN! Time for our annual Christmas raffle with prizes galore!! The draw will take place on Sunday 21st December and proceeds go towards our winter heating bill. All contributions gratefully accepted.
LITTLE CHRISTMAS – As Advent begins and we prepare to celebrate the great feast of Christmas, the Justice and Peace Group would like to invite the parish to join us again in celebrating the feast of St Nicholas, (December 6th) otherwise known as Little Christmas. As in previous years, we aim to reach out in love to the homeless men and women of Glasgow supporting them with warm outdoor clothing – hats, scarves, gloves, socks etc. There will be baskets at the back of the church on Sunday December 7th, the day after the feast of St Nicholas, for any donations you are able to make.

Satna Claus is coming to the café on Sunday 14th December 2025. He is looking for good girls and boys!
GIFT AID ENVELOPES – There are some envelopes which are not assigned to parishioners. Please consider signing up. Speak to Father Francis or a helper at the back of the church.
CHRISTMAS CARDS – Christmas cards are now available on the table at the back of the church. Get your cards– early while they are available. Box of 18 cards £4.00. Gold embossed pack of 12 – £3.50 and small pack of 12 – £1.65. There are also individual cards available.
CAROLS BY CANDLELIGHT – The school will perform a carol service on Monday 15th December at 6pm. This is a wonderful opportunity to start off the Christmas season and the church always looks wonderful for the service. Please come along, all welcome
THE SCHOOL WILL JOIN US FOR MASS – On Tuesday 16th December the school will join us for the 9.30am mass. All welcome.
CHRISTMAS MASSES – The vigil mass will be at 8pm on 24th December and the mass on Christmas day will be at 10am.
DONATION – We have received a donation of £200.00 from Geraldine Kerr to help out at Christmas. Thank you to Geraldine this was most generous.
CARING SUNDAY – Sunday 14th December is Caring Sunday. There will be a Second Collection on that day.
Advent Day of Confessions in the Cathedral: Priests will be available to hear Confessions from 9am until 5pm in St Andrew’s Cathedral on Tuesday 16th December. Come home for Christmas!
Young Adults Christmas Party at St Conval’s
Join us for a festive Young Adults Christmas Party on Saturday, 13th December in Saint Conval’s Church Hall. After 5:30pm Mass
We’ll start with fun games, a potluck followed by an open dancefloor. A small donation is suggested to help cover costs. All young adults (18+) welcome! Come celebrate with us.

If you Gift Aid your collection, we can claim back from the government 25p for every £1 you donate.
