Jesus invited Zacchaeus, a sinner, into a conversation. Zacchaeus was so overwhelmed by Jesus’ love that he completely changed and made restitution for all the wrong that he had done.

ST BARNABAS’ CHURCH
The Parish Priests, PPC and Parishioners of St Barnabas’ warmly invite everyone to celebrate with them the 60th Anniversary of their Church, on Friday, November 18th at 7:00 pm in St Barnabas’ Church.
ITALIAN MASS
The annual Mass for members and friends of the Italian community will take place in St Andrew’s Cathedral on All Souls Day, Wednesday 2 November at 7:00 pm. Archbishop Conti will be the principal celebrant. After Mass there will be a reception in Eyre Hall in the Curial Offices. All are welcome!
SPRED
SPRED supports people with learning disabilities to grow in faith and participate in parish life, and currently needs more volunteers. There will be a brief training to help those who are interested to decide if this is for them, and to give them the required skills. If you are interested in finding out more, please join the next training course on Saturday 19th and 26th November at the SPRED Centre, Robroyston Road, Glasgow, 10:00 am till 2:00 pm each day. PRAYER FOR PEACE: We continue to pray for peace in our world, particularly between Russia and Ukraine; and we pray that we may become agents of peace by becoming people of peace.
PREPARATION for THE SACRAMENTS
We continue to welcome the children and their families as they enrol for the Sacramental Preparation Programme for first sacraments. We also welcome those who have joined the baptismal preparation programme.
MASS of REMEMBRANCE
On Sunday, November 6th, Mass will be a Mass of Remembrance for all parishioners who have died in the past year, and for those who have been buried from our parish. The parish will contact all concerned. Please encourage those you know to come to the Mass.

CATHOLIC SOCIAL TEACHING AND OUR DAILY LIVES
Immaculate Conception Parish, Maryhill, is offering a series of evenings on what Catholic Social Teaching has to say to us and to leaders of society about our daily lives. This is a very interesting series. Please see poster in the porch for further information.
MEMORIAL MASS for all those buried in local cemeteries or whose final committal was at Daldowie Crematorium: St Peter’s Cemetery, Dalbeth; Sunday, Oct 30th, 3:00 pm. Car parking entry by the Good Shepherd Gate.
SPUC UK: We continue to pray that our country will protect all life in its legislation. We remember in particular the unborn and the frail and elderly, who are particularly vulnerable to a culture of disposal.
ASDA – WINTER – COST OF LIVING CRISIS
Throughout November and December, all branches of Asda in the UK will offer all pensioners a bowl of soup, a roll and unlimited tea or coffee for £1.00.
NOVEMBER LISTS
During November It is customary in the Church to pray in a special way for all those who have died, especially for deceased relatives and friends. Please use the envelopes at the back of the Church if you wish to have Mass offered in November for your deceased family members and friends. We pray that all those who have died are now at peace with God.
