PREPARATIONS FOR SACRAMENTS – The Circle of Friends for those preparing for confirmation will start on Wednesday 5th February. The following meeting will be 12th February and the final meeting will be two weeks later on 26th February. Confirmation will be celebrated on Thursday 27th February 2025.
ST JUDE CLUB – Update – Last year they raised £248.50. Nicki Smith was the first St Jude Club winner. Paul Harvey has had the biggest payout. They were able to fund the Easter egg decoration competitions and a family fun day in the summer not forgetting the Christmas party. The club will be starting on 26th January and will run every two weeks. Jade will take names of those participating. £1 a go and the winner receives half of the money raised. Please consider taking a turn or two and thank you to those who participated last year.
DONATIONS TO THE HOMELESS – We all receive too many gifts of boxes of chocolates, biscuits etc and if you wish to donate your surplus to the homeless please place in baskets at the back of the church. We do not want anyone to go out and buy anything just if you have too many to get through it would be most appreciated.
SUNDAY CAFÉ – Is on after mass every Sunday and it would be lovely if more parishioners attended. It is a good opportunity to visit with each other and have a chat.
MOBILE PHONES – It has been noted that many people use their mobile phones during mass. It is customary to put your phone off or on silent when in church.
CRIB – The crib does not get taken down immediately after Christmas and can remain until 2nd February, the feast of the presentation of the Child in the Temple. The money from donation box is for St Margaret’s Children’s & family care centre, formally St Margarets Adoption Society. Your donations are appreciated.

Sensory Mass in the Cathedral: Do you or someone you know have difficulty in coming to Mass because you are autistic, have ADHD or are neurodiverse? Would a less stimulating environment help? Meeting for those interested in the Cathedral, 196 Clyde Street on Sunday 9 February at 2.30pm. If that doesn’t suit or you would like to speak to someone privately, call or email Lisbeth Raeside on 0141 770 5055, lisbeth.spred@btconnect.com.
