New Appointments – Message from Fr Frank Balmer and Fr Innocent.– Dear Friends, On our appointment to the parish of St Jude and St John Ogilvie – both of us are delighted to be here with you as your priests. We both look forward to our ministry of pastoral service towards everyone belonging to our parish, a parish family that together we will all continue to grow our parish and neighbourhood as messengers of hope and joy which is marked by our togetherness in a spirit of humility, charity, respect and compassion to all we are called to serve in the name of the Risen Jesus.
We both extend our thanks and best wishes to Fr Francis as he returns to his diocese (and family) and like ourselves we wish Fr John Gannon many blessing on his ministry among the good people of St Maria Goretti, Cranhill. Sincerely – Fr Frank Balmer and Fr Innocent Simon.

Craig Lodge, Paisley – A Family House of Prayer and the hub for a community walking in the footsteps of the early monasteries. The community welcomes people who want to come and stay and join in the daily rhythm of prayer and worship, receive ministry and enjoy the hospitality and fellowship that is part of this place. St Paul’s (Shettleston) Youth Group (11-15 years) – Our next Youth Group evening will be held on Monday 20th April, 6pm – 7.30pm in St Paul’s Parish Hall (next to the church) – we invite any 11- to 15-year-olds from St Jude and St John Ogilvie to join us for games, pizza and a chance to share faith (bring along a friend).

Congratulations – Welcome – Our warmest congratulations and best wishes to Ulrich Ngassam and Rita Onyiriuka who received Sacraments of Baptism, Confirmation and First Eucharist at our recent Easter Vigil Mass.
The J&P group would like to pass on the Thanks of the Halliday Foundation for the wonderful hampers we delivered to them. (pictures of delivery at back of church). We were also able to donate £200 on behalf of the parish.
Thanks to your generosity we were also able to send off £200 to DEC’s Middle East Humanitarian Appeal which includes the people of Gaza. Please keep all these situations in your prayers. And thank you again for your wonderful response to our Parish Lenten Campaign.
If you are a taxpayer, you might want to consider using the donation envelopes and signing up for Gift Aid which allows the church to reclaim tax on your donations. If you Gift Aid your collection, we can claim back from the government 25p for every £1 you donate. Any persons who want to sign up should speak to Father Francis to complete the appropriate form which is basically just your name address and NI number.
