If you are a taxpayer, you might want to consider using the donation envelopes and signing up for Gift Aidwhich allows the church to reclaim tax on your donations. If you Gift Aid your collection, we can claim back from the government 25p for every £1 you donate. Any persons who want to sign up should complete the Gift Aid Form for Multiple Donations.

SCOTTISH PARLIAMENT ELECTIONS – THURSDAY 7TH MAY 2026 – To help Catholics choose a candidate to represent the Scottish People in the next parliamentary session in Holyrood, the Catholic Parliamentary Office has prepared a resource – rcpolitics.org/Scottish-parliament-election-2026
FIRST HOLY COMMUNIONS – Our parish children (P4) will receive their First Eucharist (Holy Communion) at 10am Mass on Sunday 17th May. We ask your prayers for our children as they prepare to journey with us to the Lord’s table.
GLASGOW STREET PASTORS – Commonwealth Games (23rd July to 2nd August 2026) – Volunteers required to be ‘Games Pastors’ to serve on short daytime/evening shifts alongside experienced pastors. The emphasis is on meeting visitors to the city, giving directions, engaging in conversation and making people feel welcome. The pastors are also looking for people to pray over this period. Welcome – We extend a warm welcome to all those who are new to our parish or visiting this weekend – many thanks for the blessings you bring to us here in St Jude and St John Ogilvie.
Circle of Friends for our 15 children who are preparing to make First Communion this year begins on Wednesday 29th April and will continue over the following two weeks.Classes for parents and children will take place in the church / hall and will begin at 6.30pm. Every child hoping to be presented for the Sacrament must attend and must be represented at the Parents’ Meeting. We look forward to welcoming you all back to prepare for this big step in your child’s journey of Faith.
The children will join the community in receiving Holy Communion for the first time on Sunday 17th May.

St Margaret of Scotland Youth Group 50th Anniversary Fundraising Dinner: Saturday 9th May at the Raddison Blu, Glasgow. Join the SMSYG as they celebrate their 50th year of assisting the Archdiocesan Lourdes Pilgrimage. Tickets are £65. Drinks reception, 3-course meal, music and dancing. 6.30pm-late.
