Confessions: Before Sunday Mass
A special collection will be taken up for Sick and Retired Priests on the Sundays of Lent (except the 4th Sunday which is for SCIAF)
RITE OF ELECTION – Please pray for our Catechumen who will go to St. Andrew’s Cathedral this Sunday 1st in Lent to meet the Archbishop. All catechumens hope to be baptised at this year’s Easter Vigil 2026 in their home parishes. All candidates wishing to come into full communion at Easter will also take part in the service.
JUSTICE AND PEACE –
The Justice and Peace Group would like to thank you for taking part in our parish Lenten Campaign to help the homeless and most vulnerable in the east end of Glasgow.
Next week we would like to collect died goods eg. Rice, pasta, lentils, broth, sugar, tea bags, coffee, etc. etc.
SUNDAY CAFÉ
There is a new rota for Sunday Café at the back of the church. The café runs after mass on a Sunday and if there is any person who would be willing to help or take a turn putting the café on please speak to Father Francis or Margaret McElroy.
Please consider coming down to the café after mass, it is a great time to have a social time with fellow parishioners and friends.
STATIONS OF THE CROSS – The Stations of the Cross are on every Friday during lent and start at 7pm. There is a sheet at the back of the church for anyone who would like to lead the stations. Please put you name on the Sunday you can help. There was a great turn out on Wednesday last week for Ash Wednesday thank you all who attended. It would be great to see a lot of people coming to the Stations of the Cross.
ARCHDIOCESE NOTICES –
Abba’s Vineyard: Adoration night. Come and adore Jesus in the Blessed Sacrament, with a Lenten theme. The evening also includes the opportunity for Confession, Mass and dinner. If you are a taxpayer, you might want to consider using the donation envelopes and signing up for Gift Aid which allows the church to reclaim tax on your donations. If you Gift Aid your collection, we can claim back from the government 25p for every £1 you donate. Any persons who want to sign up should speak to Father Francis to complete the appropriate form which is basically just your name address and NI number.
