Confessions: Before Sunday Mass
FATHER FRANCIS – DEPARTURE – Father Francis’ last mass will be on Easter Sunday 5th April 2026. St Maria Goretti have already planned to have something for him after his last mass in their parish and we in St Jude and St John Ogilvie parish are having a celebration after our mass on Palm Sunday 29th March 2026. Father will arrange cover for St Maria Goretti that Sunday.
There are envelopes in the porch if you wish to contribute towards his going away presentation.
If anyone who can help by bringing food or refreshments for the celebration would be wonderful. Please speak to Margaret McElroy if you have any further questions.
JUSTICE AND PEACE –
Lenten Campaign – Next week we would welcome donations of Toiletries. These are given at food banks and also to individuals living in temporary accommodation. Any and all kinds of toiletries. Thank you.
Sacramental Preparation – Circle of Friends continues this week on Wednesday evening. Please pray for the families of those children preparing for the Sacrament of Reconciliation which will take place on Saturday 21st March.
STATIONS OF THE CROSS – The Stations of the Cross are on every Friday during lent and start at 7pm. There is a sheet at the back of the church for anyone who would like to lead the stations. Please put you name on the Sunday you can help. There was a great turn out on Wednesday last week for Ash Wednesday thank you all who attended. It would be great to see a lot of people coming to the Stations of the Cross.

Flourish: The special Lent edition of Flourish is now available free. Please take home a copy. It has an interesting centre spread on how to ‘reboot’ your Lenten observances. The new edition also has the Pope’s letter for Lent, details of a planned pilgrimage for young people to World Youth Day, a focus on the upcoming vote on Assisted Suicide in the Scottish Parliament, details of the St Patrick’s Day celebrations in Glasgow and news from around the parishes and schools.
FireCloud – Broken For You: You are invited to join us for FireCloud’s powerful prayerful reflection on the Passion and suffering of Jesus – Broken For You. The Immaculate Conception, Maryhill Road, G20 0AA on Wednesday, March 11th at 7pm. Followed by refreshments in the church hall. This is a free event but there is an (optional) bucket collection for SCIAF’s Ethiopia campaign. Look forward to seeing you!
RCAG Young Adults – Engaging Your Workplace with Faith: RCAG Youth invites young adults(ages 16–35) to explore how we can live our Catholic faith authentically at work — and discover how everyday work can become a place of vocation, holiness, and mission. The session will include a talk by guest speaker Dermot Grenham from Opus Dei and a reflection on how work and rest together form a rhythm of holiness in our lives.
