FATHER JOHN CLARK, Father Clark of the Comboni Fathers has often helped out when we needed cover for mass. We wish Fr John Clark (Comboni Father ) a well-deserved Retirement. He has gone to Saint Joseph’s Residence (Little Sisters of the Poor) in Newcastle, England.
We thank him for his many years of serving us here in St Jude’s & St John Ogilvie Parish.
We wish him well Please keep him in your prayers.
THE JUSTICE AND PEACE GROUP would like to thank you all, each and every one, for the wonderful response to our appeal for warm winter hats, scarves, gloves etc. For the Glasgow Homeless. These were very gratefully received. Thank you also to those who used our Christmas Greeting Tree. We raised £35 which will go to the Wayside Club who provide meals for the homeless in Glasgow.
WE WOULD ALSO LIKE TO OFFER those who have excess tins or boxes of biscuits, sweets, chocolates, etc.an opportunity to be relieved of them!! We will leave baskets at the back of the church and anything collected will be delivered to the Wayside Club. Please do not go out and buy anything for this collection. It was begun a few years back when someone asked if we could ‘relieve’ them of excess edible gifts once the festivities were over.
UPCOMING EVENTS – There will be a funeral on 27th January for Linda Cartwright. May she rest in peace.
