SECOND COLLECTIONS – Today 9 th March there will be a second
collection for Sick and Retired Priests. Every Sunday of Lent there
will be a second collection for Sick and Retired Priests except for
Sunday 30 th March when the second collection will be for SCIAF.
STATIONS OF THE CROSS – Will take place every Friday at 7pm.
Father Francis leads the first Friday in Lent, thereafter we look for
volunteers to lead the Stations. Please add you name to the list at
the bank of the church if you wish to participate.
ST JUDE CLUB – The last draw was won by Barbara Nicholson who
won £23.50, Congratulations. Pease consider taking a turn at the
draw.
As announced last Sunday the Justice and Peace group would like
to invite us, as a parish, to help Re-build Gaza given the total
destruction of their homes, their hospitals, their schools, their places
of worship, etc. Many of their children are suffering from malnutrition;
they still cannot get food supplies, supplies of water, medicines, fuel
and so many of life’s necessities that we take for granted. They are
totally cut-off and dependent on the World’s aid. Gaza has been
described as the “world’s largest open-air prison” due to the strict
movement restrictions placed on its 2.1 million residents. These
restrictions have been primarily imposed by Israel, but Egypt also
controls one of Gaza’s borders and has at times restricted
movement. They are our brothers and sisters crying out to the world
for help. We feel it is a situation crying out to us, as a parish, for
support.
We hope to have bricks for sale so that we have a visual picture of
our efforts. Please help in any way you can and please continue to
pray for long-lasting Peace in Israel and Palestine.
The Margaret Sinclair Story – The true story of the Edinburgh
factory girl who could be Scotland’s next canonised Saint. A play by
AGAP being performed at various parishes from 20 th March. Please

Aid to the Church in Need Pilgrimage: ACN are inviting pilgrims from across the
UK to join them on pilgrimage in this Jubilee year to the historic city of York. They
will reflect on why over 50 Yorkshire men and women such St Margaret Clitheroe
and St John Fisher were prepared to die for our faith, and how their great sacrifices
paved the way for the survival of faith now. The 2025 Aid to the Church in Need
pilgrimage will be led by Fr Dominic Robinson SJ our Spiritual Director, the ACN
Pilgrimage Team and with Suze Mathews, pilgrimage historian. Pilgrimage cost is

Reflection Day on Ways of Prayer – Praying with the Word: Saturday 22nd

Call, Change and Growth An Evening of Reflection: Thursday 27 March 6.30pm-
8.30pm. Ignatian Spirituality Centre, 35 Scott St. Glasgow G3 6PE. As we move
into Spring there is a natural sense of change in the air. In a time of personal
change and transition and often before concrete plans emerge as John O’Donohue
puts it “your soul senses the world that awaits you”. This is an evening giving an
