TODAY We welcome the children enrolling for Sacramental Preparation for the Sacraments of Reconciliation, First communion and Confirmation.
ST JUDE CLUB – The winner of the St Jude club draw on Sunday 7th September was Marek Kraszewski with number 22. He won £15.50. Please consider joining in. Jade collects for this at the back of the church every two weeks.
To mark this Season of Creation 2025 the Justice and Peace Group would like to invite you to share the fruits of Creation with those not as fortunate as ourselves. Once again, we ask you, over the next two weeks, to bring along soup and sandwich making material for our Glasgow Homeless.
In the first week – September 21st we would ask for dry and canned ingredients; e.g. pulses – lentils, barley, rice, broth mix etc; also tins of fruit and vegetables, cans or jars of Sandwich fillers.
On the last weekend September 28th we would invite you to bring along fresh vegetables for soup and fresh fruit. Any and all donations will be welcome though we do understand that everyone is finding the cost of living difficult just now. All donations will go the Glasgow Wayside Club.
SUNDAY CAFÉ – Now open after mass, all welcome.
ST PAUL’S RC CHURCH SHETTLESTON ROAD – Every Friday the Blether and a bite café offer a free lunch in the hall from 12 noon to 3pm. This is open to any person whether catholic or not. You would be most welcome to come along.
ARCHDIOCESE NOTICES –
Recovery and Spiritual Healing: There will be an ecumenical service focusing on recovery and Spiritual healing for anyone who has been caught up in alcohol or drug addiction. We welcome those who are in recovery, those still afflicted by addiction and family members who support those who are suffering. This will take place at 3pm on Sunday 12th October in St Augustine’s Church Hall, 393 Ashgill Road, Glasgow, G22 7HN. The service will be led by Rev Laurent Vernet and Rev Paul McAlinden and there will be testimony from people in recovery as well as those who support them. We look forward to welcoming you and there will be tea/coffee and cake at the end of the service. For anyone using public transport, the number 75 bus from Castlemilk, which passes through the city centre has a stop just outside St Augustine’s Church.
Abba’s Vineyard: “Prayer night, for young adults aged 18-35, from 5-9pm, Saturday 27th September. Come and adore Jesus in the Blessed Sacrament.
