TRINITY SUNDAY
PARISH FINANCE – Many thanks to everyone for your generosity towards our parish and clergy, it is most appreciated.
SUNDAY CAFÉ – Our Sunday café is in need of more volunteers and more importantly people to attend after mass on Sunday. This is a good opportunity to meet socially with your fellow parishioners. The current season will end on 28th June and we need cover for Sunday 21st June if anyone can assist that day it would be most appreciated. The Café does not run during the summer months however there is often an impromptu tea when the café is not running. If you can help in any way please speak to Margaret McElroy phone 0771 258 2661
INTERNATIONAL MASS – Will take place on Next Sunday 7th June 2026. This is a multicultural mass and anyone who wished to assist should speak to Sister Patricia. After the mass there will be refreshments in the hall. All welcome.
INGRESS OF WATER – The church had water coming into the Priest’s sacristy last week and the water also run down to the hall. The roofing contractor visited and cleared a blockage in the down pipe. He also reported that the flat roof above the sacristy was in a bad state of repair and really should be replaced.
WIFI – The telephone that was in the hall has been disconnected as it was costing the parish almost £90 per month. Subsequently there is no WIFI connection available. Anyone who wants to contact Father Balmer please telephone St Paul’s church at the number above.
WELCOME – We extend a warm welcome to all those who are new to our parish or visiting this weekend – many thanks for the blessings you bring to us here in St Jude and St John Ogilvie.
DEMOLITION OF CHURCH HOUSE – The Archdiocese was contacted this week for an update of the house demolition and it was apparently being brought up at a meeting during last week. We have not yet heard the outcome of the meeting but they are needing a Demolition Warrant to proceed. Hopefully we will get some information shortly.

ST JUDE LOURDES PILGRIMAGE – Our pilgrimage started as a parish pilgrimage by St Vincent de Paul group in 1987. Next year will be the 40th anniversary. The pilgrimage has grown considerably since its conception. Initially run by Betty and Terry McCafferty it was taken over in 2007 by a group which still runs the pilgrimage today. The organising group are all parishioners of St Jude and St John Ogilvie Parish. This year, 2026 we have 119 pilgrims travelling, some still go overland by luxury coach but the majority now fly. We are expecting even more to be interested in the 2027 anniversary pilgrimage. The group departs for Lourdes on 14th June 2026 and the persons flying depart on 15th June. All depart from Lourdes on Saturday 20th June. If you are interested in joining us next year please speak to Margaret McElroy, Helen Marks or Amelia Buckley.
There is a basket on Our Lady Altar for anyone who wants petitions taken to Lourdes. Please write your petition and place in the basket. No money is required to have a petition taken to Lourdes on your behalf.

ARCHDIOCESE NOTICES –
40 Hours Adoration at St Barnabas’, Shettleston: Holy Hour on Sunday 14 June at 5pm. This will be led by Rev Sr Maria D.C. and the theme will be “The Eucharist and the Poor.” Fr Sullivan will assist at the Benediction. On Monday 15 June the Holy Hour at 7pm will be be “For Love of the Sacred Heart” and be led by Rev Deacon Kevin Kelly. On Tuesday 16 June the Holy Hour at 7pm will be “Holy Eucharist leading us to Service” and be led by Rev Deacon Thomas Kelly.
