Every Sunday during school term time we have Children’s liturgy. Children’s liturgy is a special form of worship
designed to engage children in the faith through age
appropriate Gospel reflections, prayers, and activities.
Please encourage all children of primary school age to attend.
Circle of Friends – Is the church’s method of preparing children who will be receiving their sacraments. This will commence late February, more details later.
The donation box beside the crib contained £79.00. this money goes to St Margaret’s Children’s Centre, formally St Margaret’s Adoption Society.
FATHER FRANCIS –Does not return until Thursday of this week therefore there will be no weekday mass on Tuesday or Thursday. Mass will be held on Saturday morning as usual.
ASH WEDNESDAY WILL BE ON 18TH FEBRUARY THIS YEAR. EASTER SUNDAY IS ON APRIL 5TH.
ST VALENTINE’S QUIZ NIGHT –
You are welcome to come to a quiz night in St Philomena’s Parish hall on Saturday 14th February. BYOB, Light supper, Prizes. Quiz starts 7.30pm. Adults £5.00, Children £2.00.

St Patrick’s Day Mass: The annual St Patrick’s Day Mass will take place on Saturday 14th March at 10am in St Andrew’s Cathedral, Clyde Street, Glasgow. All welcome.
RCAG Young Adults – Holiness in Ordinary Life: RCAG Youth invites young adults aged 16–35 to the first session of our Spring Series, Holiness in Ordinary Life. This evening will help young adults embrace their universal call to holiness by exploring how God’s presence can be woven into the ordinary routines of everyday life. Human Fraternity Conference: “Human Fraternity in Practice: – Responding to Migrants and Refugees Today” A joint Catholic – Muslim event to explore how human fraternity can shape our response to migrants and refugees. .A chance to connect, learn and help us all make a difference together. With keynote speeches from the Muslim and Catholic faiths as well as presentations

If you are a taxpayer, you might want to consider using the donation envelopes and signing up for Gift Aid which allows the church to reclaim tax on your donations. If you Gift Aid your collection, we can claim back from the government 25p for every £1 you donate. Any persons who want to sign up should speak to Father Francis to complete the appropriate form which is basically just your name address and NI number.
