Easter Sunday – Father Francis would like to wish everyone a very happy celebration of Easter and would like to thank everybody for all their hard work: musicians, servers, pass keepers, readers, cleaners, everyone – your work is essential and much appreciated. The parish wouldn’t be the same without each of you.
Can all readers please ensure you arrive at mass ten minutes early and let the pass keepers know you have arrived and that you are aware which reading you are doing? Likewise can altar servers also try to arrive early.
COMBONI FATHERS – A big thank you to the Comboni Fathers who covered the Holy week services and Easter Sunday. This year Father Francis did all the services at St Maria Goretti Church. Traditionally he would have covered St. Jude’s church and the Comboni Fathers would have covered St. Maria Goretti.
CCTV – At present we are installing CCTV cameras in and around the church for security reasons.
‘MY DAY BY DAY’ book, which some parishioners take every month will increase from £1.15 per month to £1.20. If anyone wants one of these books ordered for their use please let Margaret McElroy know and we can increase our monthly order.
SECOND COLLECTION
Next Sunday is Divine Mercy Sunday, there will be a second collection for Assisted Parishes. Please be generous.
