St Vincent De Paul update. – The three members of the SSVP conference work away quietly continuing the work to serve the poor in our parish community. This includes : Support for the sick & bereaved. A small amount of requests for white goods /furniture Food requests.
Supporting our local primary school at Christmas time. Financially supporting 3 conferences abroad. Support for the Glasgow students fund. Ad hoc one off payments to emergency disaster appeals.
Due to your ongoing generosity, we have been able to meet all our commitments and have a small reserve to cover our needs for the foreseeable future. As a result, the SSVP boxes will be temporarily removed.
We would also like to make an appeal for others to join us in the work we do. Initially you will be required to attend a meeting once a month and go the through a disclosure check. If you are interested speak to Amelia, Phil or Liam – one of us is about at most masses.
Thank you for your support and generosity over almost 70 years. Please continue to pray for the continued growth of SSVP.
St Vincent de Paul …. pray for us.

Your support would be great!
J & P CAMPAIGN
The Justice and Peace Group want to thank the parishioners who, so far, have raised £440 towards our Help Rebuild Gaza Campaign. We have certainly built quite a number of houses and roads!! You’ll notice, on our mini Gaza on the back wall of the church, that we now have the outline of a large Food Bank, a Medical Facility and a School – all ready to be covered in bricks! Hopefully, in reality, helping provide water, food supplies medicines and medical aid to the population of Gaza and a start to providing education for their children. Their need is so great, we can’t really imagine it. Let’s continue to use our Lent to give relief and hope to our brothers and sisters in Gaza.
Sacramental Preparation
Congratulations to all 21 children of our parish who made the Sacrament of Reconciliation last weekend. Please continue to pray for them, their families and all our children who are following our Sacramental Preparation Programme. Fifteen children are being prepared to make the Sacrament of Holy Eucharist on June 1st
