PPC – The Parish Pastoral Council will meet after the Stations of the
Cross on Friday 28th March 2025.
THE CIRCLE OF FRIENDS. – Final meeting for those preparing for
the Sacrament of Confession will take place on Wednesday this
week and the First Confessions will be on Saturday 29th March at
10.00am.

SECOND COLLECTIONS – Today there will be a second collection
for Sick and Retired Priests. Every Sunday of Lent there will be a
second collection for Sick and Retired Priests except for Sunday 30th
March when the second collection will be for SCIAF.
STATIONS OF THE CROSS – Will take place every Friday at 7pm.
Father Francis leads the first Friday in Lent, thereafter we look for
volunteers to lead the Stations. Please add you name to the list at
the bank of the church if you wish to participate. There are still
spaces free please consider presenting the stations of the cross.
ST JUDE CLUB – The winner on 9th March was Elizabeth O’Keefe
who won £23.00. Elizabeth very generously, donated her winnings to
the Repair Fund.
OUR LADY OF PEACE – The school choir won first place at the
Glasgow Music Festival which took place recently at the Royal
Concert Hall. Congratulations to the children and the school
J & P CAMPAIGN
The Justice and Peace Group invite you to support our Lenten
Campaign to help to rebuild Gaza. As we are all aware Gaza has
been totally destroyed in the recent conflict. They are a people with
nothing but what they stand in and the few belonging to they have
dragged from place to place as they were being evicted and moved
on. They have no homes to go back to. They are suffering from
hunger, thirst and all the accompanying diseases. They have no fuel,
no medicines, no electricity. They need so much just to stay alive.
The children have no opportunities for education or for medical help.
We know that whatever we give will be a mere drop in the ocean
compared to what will be required to make the country habitable
again. But as Tesco says, “Every little counts”.
There are little bricks available which you can buy for £1. If you feel
inclined you can stick the brick on one of the buildings on our ‘Little
Gaza’ on the back wall of the church. Or you can leave your brick in
the wee basket there, and the children will stick them on for you. Let’s
make an effort to listen to the voices crying out to us from Gaza. Let’s
pray for peace there and in the many war-torn countries of our world.
ARCHDIOCESE NOTICES
Abba’s Vineyard: The Seven Last Words, Saturday 22nd February,
from 5-9pm, for young adults aged 18-35. Come and adore Jesus in
the blessed Sacrament, with a reflection by Br Niall OFM on the
seven last words of Christ. The evening includes the opportunity for
confession, mass and dinner. All are welcome to join at any point.
