| REFLECTION | ||
| This prophet Ezekiel passes on the message of the Lord. He likens how God cares for his flock, his followers, to how a true shepherd remains focussed on the welfare of his charges. However, that will include a judgement. Paul’s words try to describe what the end of the world will be like. God will reign over all in peace. Christ will give His Father His place. As Christ has risen, so will we, as he himself promised us. Matthew stresses that we will all be judged, in particular, for how we have treated those in need. We will see our unworthiness but also our infinite value in God’s eyes. How do we treat others, knowing, from Jesus’ own words, that Christ is in each person? | ||
